Comment: This is one of my favorite quotations taken from the very first lines of "The Road Less Travelled". We often expect life to be easy without questioning this belief. Our thinking is rooted in the assumption that life should be devoid of problems. However, if we pause and reflect, we realize that life is not easy, and strangely, it becomes easier when we acknowledge this fact.Life is difficult.
This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths.
It is a great truth because once we truly see this truth, we transcend it.
Once we truly know that life is difficult — once we truly understand and accept it — then life is no longer difficult.
Because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult no longer matters.
