I have long been skeptical about the development of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) anytime soon, and my skepticism persists. However, recently I came across a YouTube video titled Sparks of AGI: early experiments with GPT-4, presented by Sebastien Bubeck, a Senior Principal Research Manager in the Machine Learning Foundations group at Microsoft Research (MSR). Watching this video has caused me to reevaluate my beliefs about the future potential of AI, and I highly recommend it.
