Without care, society would be impossible. Caring is at the root of creating a better world. If we care, we take responsibility.
If we wish to see a better world emerge, we need to care.
We all need care.
Without it, children wouldn’t make it to adulthood, patients wouldn’t recover, and communities wouldn’t grow or thrive.
And “care” doesn’t just extend to people, either: if we fail to take care of our possessions, our buildings, and our infrastructure, then our landfills will overflow and our cities will crumble.
If we don’t care for the environment, species will go extinct and we will lose vital resources that nourish our bodies and our minds.
And if we fail to take care of our planet, future generations will face serious threats to their survival.
Stewardship, conservation, maintenance, repair: these are all forms of care.
Caring
We naturally take responsibility for the people and the things that we care about.
Caring is at the root of everything. If we care, we take responsibility, and action cannot help but flow from that.
Everything that is good about the world and being human flows from caring.
Caring for each other, caring for our planet, our planetary ecosystem, and all of life.
And feeling and being cared for in return.
We don’t care enough
We do not care enough about each other.
We don’t trust other people, and we are not particularly trustworthy ourselves.
When we have differences of opinion or things go wrong, we are too quick to judge and blame.
We rarely give people the benefit of the doubt. And we don’t forgive easily.
Care More.
It's only two words, but it's hard to think of a better mantra for the organization that is smart enough to understand the core underpinning of their business, as well as one in search of a reason for being.
No need to get all tied up in subcycles of this leads to this which leads to that so therefore I care...
Instead, there's the opportunity to follow the direct and difficult road of someone who truly cares about what's being made and who it is for.
