We are surrounded by information, yet many conversations leave little space for reflection, understanding, or shared meaning. In a complex and AI-shaped world, faster communication does not necessarily lead to better thinking. This course explores conversation as a way of thinking together, building connection, and making sense of experience.
A short course on conversation, thinking, and meaning-making in the age of AI
We live in a world overflowing with information, yet many of our conversations feel rushed, shallow, fragmented, or transactional. Meetings become exchanges of updates. Discussions turn into debates. People speak, but often feel unheard.
This course explores a different view of conversation.
Conversation is not simply a way of exchanging information. It is one of the primary ways human beings think together, make sense of the world, build relationships, and take meaningful action.
Over six weeks, we will explore why conversation matters more than ever in a time of complexity, uncertainty, and artificial intelligence. We will look at the difference between information and knowledge, why connection shapes the quality of thinking, how conversations influence trust and understanding, and what it means to practise conversational leadership in everyday life.
The course is reflective, practical, and conversational in spirit. It is not about learning communication techniques or following rigid frameworks. It is about becoming more aware of how conversations shape our thinking, our relationships, our organisations, and increasingly, our interactions with AI.
Each weekly module includes a short reading, a brief video or audio reflection, quotations and examples, and a small conversational practice to explore during the week.
This is not a course to complete and forget. It is an invitation to begin noticing conversations differently.
